Each destination in Kashmir tells a story unlike any other. Here are the places we love most and cover in all our tours.
Gulmarg is perhaps the most iconic destination in Kashmir β a vast open meadow surrounded by snow-capped peaks of the Pir Panjal range. In winter, it transforms into India's premier ski resort with the world's second highest operating cable car. In summer, it's carpeted with wildflowers, offering trekking, horse riding and stunning views of Nanga Parbat.
Pahalgam is where the Lidder River rushes through dense pine forests and open meadows. It is the base camp for the Amarnath pilgrimage and one of Kashmir's most filmed destinations. Baisaran β dubbed Mini Switzerland β offers panoramic vistas accessible by pony or on foot.
Sonamarg means "Meadow of Gold" β and when the sun glints off its snow fields, you'll understand why. The Thajiwas Glacier is a short trek or pony ride away, and the meadow is ringed by glaciers, alpine lakes and pristine streams. It's also the entry point to the Zoji La pass, the gateway to Ladakh.
Dal Lake is the crown jewel of Srinagar and one of India's most iconic natural landmarks. A shikara ride at dawn, watching the floating gardens and markets emerge from the mist, is an experience that never leaves you. The Mughal gardens β Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi β surround the lake like an emerald frame.
Tangmarg is our home and a destination worth slowing down in. Less touristy than Gulmarg, it offers dense forest walks, apple orchards, and genuine Kashmiri village hospitality. From Tangmarg, Gulmarg is just 14 km away β making it an ideal overnight base that many travellers overlook.
